  1. 5 out of 5 Brilliant Workshop

I completed this course in June and it was excellent. The pattern is a great choice for beginners and the tutor Sarah was very patient and I learnt a lot from her.

The atmosphere at the Craft studio is very welcoming and relaxing, its a great environment in which to sew and learn, everyone encouraged each other making the tricky bits easier to deal with.

I really enjoyed this course and had a lovely dress at the end of it which I am very proud of, it fits great. I’ve got the dressmaking bug now and with my new found knowledge and confidence I will be making more. I fully recommend this course.

5 out of 5 Fantastic and interesting workshop

I have just completed this 2 day course learning how to make the Myrtle dress using knit jersey fabric. The pattern is very easy to follow and the dress will suit anyone, tall short, slim or fuller figure.

Very pleasant surroundings to work in with sewing machines and other items supplied, all you need is your fabric, thread and elastic and yourself. However, if you wanted to buy your fabric at The Craft Studio, you would be spoilt for choice. Plenty of tea and coffee and biscuits to see you through the day.

Sarah, our tutor, was very patient – working with knit jersey is a different beast to cotton fabric and Sarah guided through what we need to know. Assisting us to take our measurements, chosing the correct pattern pieces, altering the length of the skirt on my particularly dress.

I had a fabulous time, I laughed a lot and learnt a lot more and I would recommend this or any of the other courses to anyone wishing to take up dressmaking.

I will certainly be making another Myrtle dress – perhaps more 🙂
