Classes & Workshops


How Do I Find Out When A Class Is Running?

To find out when a class is running, simply select the dropdown on the class page and this will show you which available dates you can choose from.  If the date selected shows the class as “out of stock” this means that the class is fully booked.

Do I Need To Bring Anything With Me?

For most classes all materials and equipment are provided. For selected sewing classes and mixed media classes there sometimes will be fabric and materials that you will need to bring with you or which can be purchased from the shop on the day. This will be stated on the “class information” or “fabric requirements” tabs on the relevant workshop page.

How Do I Know If You Have Any Spaces Left?

If a class is fully booked or has no date currently available then the class will show as “Out Of Stock” on the class image.

If you have more than 4 people who would like to attend a class in this state then we may be able to accomodate you on a date of your own choosing. To find out more, please get in touch.

Can You Reserve Me A Place On A Workshop?

All workshops must be paid for in advance of the class start so places cannot be reserved.  This is to accomodate for any material costs and planning that needs to be done prior to the class commencing.

I Can't Attend A Class That I've Booked - What Can I Do?

Due to the bespoke nature of our workshops we do not offer refunds, nore do we offer transfers to other classes so it’s  important that you check your diary prior to booking.  You can send someone else in your place providing you let us know their name, email address and phone number prior to the course starting.

In the unlikely event that we have to cancel a class then we will look to offer you a transfer to an alternative class or offer you a full refund.

Do You Send Booking Confirmations?

If you book a workshop through the website then you will recieve an email confirming your place has been booked. If you have booked a class in the shop then your reciept acts as your confirmation.

It’s your responsibility to ensure you know the class start time and what you need to bring with you for classes that you’re planning on attending.  All relavant information can be found on the appropriate class page.

How Do I Leave Feedback About A Class?

If you have attended a class and would like to leave feedback then you can leave a review by viewing the class you booked on the website and clicking the “reviews” tab.  Only customers that have created an account and have booked the class online will be able to leave a review.

Once approved, your review will appear on the class page.

Is There Parking On Site?

Whilst we do not have dedicated parking for workshops there is on street parking immediately outside and opposite the shop. You can park Monday to Friday, 9.30am-4.00pm & Saturday, 8.00am-6.00pm for £1 per hour. Monday to Saturday Evening from 6.00pm and all day Sunday is just £1.

I'm Booked On A Class - How Do I Find Out What Time The Class Starts?

To find out what time a class starts simply go to the “Class Times & Information” tab on the relevant class page. This also details the class duration, time and any available dates.

Can you tell me more about your course levels?

Understanding our class levels:

Level 0 – Novice – For those who have never sewn, used a sewing machine or  who have used one in the past and need a refresher.

Level 1 – Beginners – Familiar with sewing in straight lines, completed several simple projects such as a cushion or purse/bag.

Level 2 – Experienced Beginners –

Level 3 – Intermediate –

Purchasing Fabric


Do You Provide Fabric In Continuous Lengths?

When purchasing fabric you can buy them in 3 different lengths. We will provide continuous lengths of fabric if you order half or full metres.  Unlike some companies, when ordering fat quarters you will recieve an individual fat quarter no matter how many you order.  We do not combine the quantity into a full length if it’s the same design e.g. 2 fat quarters equals half a metre of fabric, we will supply 2 fat quarters.

Is There A Minimum Order Quantity?

No. You can order as little or as much as you like. Postage is charged based on weight and the size of your items and adjusts accordingly.

Do You Provide A Next Day Delivery Service?

We provide a pre 1pm delivery as long as your order is recieved by 12pm. This is not a guaranteed service so if an urgent delivery is required then please call us or get in contact through our contact form. Do remember that we only post items during shop opening days so please factor this in when determining when your items will arrive.

Can We Come & Visit You To Buy Fabric?

Absolutely! We love having visitors to our shop – our post code for sat navs is NG1 5BA. We are normally open wednesday to saturday but do please check to ensure that we are open before making a visit.

Is Purchasing Through Your Website Safe?

We use industry leading encryption techniques that masks your card details so that when they are transmitted to your bank they cannot be intercepted.  We do not store any part of your payment information to ensure your details are always kept private and safe.

We are also PCI complaint through Trustwave (the banking industry’s form of compliance when dealing with customers payments online) , we utilise SSL technology to encrypt any payments made and we also implement 3d secure – a scheme to further protect payments – otherwise known as Mastercard Securecode & Verified By Visa.

How Can I Track My Order?

To track the status of your order please visit our order tracking page.

I've Forgotten My Username Or Password To My Account

To receive a reminder of your username of password simple click on the forgotten password/username link on the my account login page.

How Long Does Delivery Take?

Typically from point of order to delivery can take approximately 2-5 working days depending upon the delivery method you have chosen.  If you have not received your parcel in this time frame then please contact us . Do remember that we only post items during shop opening days so please factor this in to your expected delivery lead time.

Can I Save Products That I'd Like To Purchase Later?

Yes you can! Using our wishlist feature you can save any number of products for easy access at a later date – simply click the heart icon when browing products or click the “Add to Wishlist” button on the individual product page. For products that have been added to the wishlist the heart will turn blue.  You will need to register for an account to use this functionality.
