Fantastic and interesting workshop

I have just completed this 2 day course learning how to make the Myrtle dress using knit jersey fabric. The pattern is very easy to follow and the dress will suit anyone, tall short, slim or fuller figure. Very pleasant surroundings to work in with sewing machines and other items supplied, all you need is your fabric, thread and elastic and yourself. However, if you wanted to buy your fabric at The Craft Studio, you would be spoilt for choice. Plenty of tea and coffee and biscuits to see you through the day. Sarah, our tutor, was very patient – working with knit jersey is a different beast to cotton fabric and Sarah guided through what we need to know. Assisting us to take our measurements, choosing the correct pattern pieces, altering the length of the skirt on my particularly dress. I had a fabulous time, I laughed a lot and learnt a lot more and I would recommend this or any of the other courses to anyone wishing to take up dressmaking. I will certainly be making another Myrtle dress – perhaps more 🙂

I cannot recommend this session highly enough! Before today I had only ever seen a sewing machine on the Sewing Bee, and I’ve made a purse – fully lined and everything! I’m so thrilled I can do it! I can’t wait to start the Sewing For Fun course in a few weeks. Clare, the teacher, is fab; so friendly and welcoming and really patient. Book it, you can do it too!!
